On 23/12/2011 Hungarian police broke up a demonstration by green liberal opposition MPs who chained themselves together outside parliament to protest against what they believe is a demolition of democracy. You can read more on the story and the background here and here.

Occupy District 8

On 11 November around 30 activists occupied the office of Máté Kocsis, MP and mayor of Budapest's 8th district to protest peacefully against the criminalisation of homelessness in Hungary. You can read more on the background of the story and about previous actions here and here.
